Jennifer Griffin
Jennifer is an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®). The AEP certification is awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) to estate planning professionals who meet stringent requirements of experience, knowledge, education, professional reputation, and character. She provides personal yet comprehensive estate plans. She is also a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA). The CELA certification is awarded by the National Elder Law Foundation, which certifies practitioners in elder and special needs law. Her law practice is focused in the areas of estate planning (which includes wills, trusts, and powers of attorneys), elder law, Medicaid planning for long-term care, Veterans Administration’s Aid and Attendance, trust administration, probate, guardianship, and conservatorship.
In 2014, Jennifer was appointed by the Governor of Alabama to the Board of the Alabama Family Trust, where she still serves helping those with special needs. In 2015, she accepted membership into The National Advocates: Top 100 Lawyers, an invitation-only professional organization, and is now a former member. She is a former Chairperson and current member of the Alabama State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section. She is a former Chairperson of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Probate Section. She is on the Board of and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham, which is a multi-disciplinary professional association that provides education for professionals in a variety of fields, including accounting and trust administration. Jennifer is a frequent speaker to professionals seeking continuing legal education.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Alabama State University. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, she served as Student Articles Editor of the Law & Psychology Review and was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
Lynn Campisi
Lynn Campisi, Attorney at Law, specializes in Elder Law, Special Needs, and Estate Planning. Her legal advocacy provides guidance to enhance the lives of those with disabilities and people as they age. She helps families navigate delicate legal and public benefits systems in order to help finance care while protecting privacy and independence of those in need.
Lynn is a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans, Birmingham School of Law, and the University of Alabama with a Master of Law in Taxation. She is also certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation.
